Preaching at Common Street  is a dialogue, not a monologue.  Besides our message for the service from our minister, a guest speaker, or community member, we regularly invite the sharing of the wisdom of the community in an open-sharing format.  After the message, in a time of silent reflection, much as in the Quaker tradition, we invite people to voice the truths that are within them as they are moved by the Spirit.

Being in conversation invites the congregation to be part of the process of interpreting sacred texts and our experience of life.  This helps us all find greater meaning as individuals, families, and a community as a whole.  We are all in this together as a spiritual community, together making meaning and seeking transformation in our relationships with God, neighbor, self, and the natural world.

Your perspective is welcome here.  We believe that your insights are valuable and will add to the conversation we are having about who we are, what we believe, and how we want to live in the world.
