The goal of the children’s choir at Common Street is for children to have fun singing and making music together, moving to the beat, and learning songs of faith and hope that will support and encourage them on their life journeys. Children of all ages are welcome! The children’s choir is open not only to members and friends of Common Street but also to the whole community. The choir aims to perform twice a season–once during a Sunday Circle at Common Street and once at a community or charitable event, such as during Earth Day or at a senior citizens home.
Our Children’s Choir fall 2017 season will start Oct 5th and go until Dec 21st. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 4:00-5:00. We expect the choir will perform during the Loulou’s Music Together annual Holiday Party and also during a special recital for families at the spiritual center. For more info, or to register, please contact the choir director, Louise-Marie “Loulou” Mennier directly at email@example.com. We suggest a donation of $25-50 per child for the season.
You can register either by emailing the choir director at firstname.lastname@example.org or by sending an email to email@example.com, including your children’s name(s), age(s), singing experience and allergies (if any). There is a suggested donation of $25-50, which can be paid by cash or check at the first rehearsal (if you are new you can drop in and give it a trial run before deciding whether to join).
